A police cycle is easy to understand and hard to remember. You know the pattern by heart, but you cannot say, without counting on your fingers, whether on the 23rd of next month you are on earlies, on nights or off. And that is exactly what you get asked at home when a trip, a dinner or somebody's birthday has to be pinned down.
On top of that come the duties that fall outside the cycle, the swaps with a colleague and the weeks where the whole weekend disappears. With a printed sheet or a spreadsheet you end up doing the sums from scratch every time.
What you need is not another table: it is seeing the month in colour, and the person at home seeing it too, without having to ask you.

Turna does not impose any cycle on you: you build your own. You define the sequence once, choose how many days you want to generate — a month, a quarter or the whole year — and the app fills it in. Extra duties you paint on top on the day they fall, without touching the rest of the cycle.

Frequently asked questions
Does it work with any cycle?
Yes. There are no compulsory preset cycles: you build your sequence of shifts and the app repeats it. It also comes with ready-made templates (5x2, 4x4, 6x4, 7x7, 2-2-3) in case one of them matches yours.
Can I record duties that fall outside the rota?
Yes. You paint whatever shift it is on that day, or add a note to it. The rest of the cycle stays untouched.
Can my partner see it without installing anything?
They can open the link in a browser. To see it inside their own calendar they do need an account, which is free and takes twenty seconds.
Can I use it without signal?
The app keeps what you have already loaded on your phone, so you can check your shifts even with no data. To change something and have it sync you do need a connection.
