The rota changes, and usually at short notice
In private security the monthly rota is a starting point, not a contract with the future. A site that falls through, sick leave that has to be covered, extra cover for an event: the rota you were given on the 28th is not the same rota on the 10th.
And if you cover more than one site, it gets harder: it is not just which shift you are on, it is where. That information ends up split between a printout, a message from the supervisor and your memory.
What you need is one place where tomorrow's shift is clear in two seconds, with the site written down, and where changing a day means tapping it.

You create whichever shift types you actually work — day, night, extra cover, support — with their real hours, even when the night shift ends the following morning. You generate the cycle in one go and, when they change a day on you, you paint over it without redoing anything.

Frequently asked questions
Can I record which site I work each shift at?
Yes, with the daily notes. On top of that, the notes you repeat most appear as buttons so you can add them with one tap, instead of typing the same name twenty times.
What about 12-hour shifts that end in the early hours?
They are counted in full. Turna understands shifts that finish the next day and separates out the night portion when adding up your hours.
Can I deduct my break?
Yes. Each shift type can carry its own break in minutes, and it is taken off your hours worked automatically.
Is it really free?
Yes: no ads, no subscription and no paid features. You can support the project with a donation if you feel like it, but the whole app is free.
